Does anyone have a link to info on how to restore a database backup to a
different server?
Nevermind... trick was to name a new database on restore rather than create
one first.

|||If you know how to restore a database on the same server then it is very
simple. Just copy your .BAK file to the new server. Then use Management
Studio to restore the database. You will need to specify the database name
(To database, find the .BAK file in the filesystem (From device y perhaps
you will need to specify the file locations on the Options page.
Hope this helps,

You may get other issues such as orphaned users and may need to move jobs
etc see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314546 for more.
