restore master database in sql server 2005

How do I restore the master database from a backup or how can i rebuild the
master?
I can not find a rebuildm.exe utility for 2005 and when I try to restore the
database from a backup in SQL server management studio.
Could someone give me instructions on how to either restore or rebuild the
database step by step?

Does the question relate top SQL Server 2000 or SQL Server 2005?
